The field research phase of one of the Little Archaeo-Oriental Studies projects is just being completed. Dr. Magdalena Pinker (Chair of Arab and Islamic Studies) and Dr. Mariusz Drzewiecki (Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology) surveyed remains of the Fatimid fortifications in Mahdiyya and Mansuriyya (two capitals of the Fatimid caliphate). Apart from this, they conducted a research in Tunis libraries.
