2.12.2024 – Archaeo-Oriental seminar

On Monday, 2 December, there will be another Archaeo-Oriental Seminar, centered around the question Who finds ‘tribe’ offending?. We will talk about how this (and similar) term hinders the understanding of non-European societies, and to what extent it is a Western conception, adopted by them; the discussion will be initiated by Prof. Hanna Rubinkowska-Anioł (Africanist and historian focused on Ethiopia) and Dr. Piotr Cichocki (anthropologist).
