7.10.2024 – Archaeo-Oriental seminar

On Monday 7 October at 3:00 PM there will be the first Archaeo-Oriental Seminar in the new form. It will be centered around the term “Orient(al studies)”, with a discussion on whether Said’s definition is outdated or not and to what degree an archaeologist is also an orientalist. This will be initiated by Prof. Agata Bareja-Starzyńska (the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies) and Prof. Krzyszof Jakubiak (head of the Chair of Oriental Archaeology, Faculty of Archaeology).
